As I Change, I Grow

💦❤️There's a scene in the first Terminator where "Sarah Connors" has emotionally connected to "Kyle" and she's shakily touching the scars on his shoulder. Tearfully, she says, "Pain, so much pain." I have to give Linda Hamilton credit for fine acting in this movie. Such emotion is strong and memorable. Despite the fact that she was acting a role, her talent made the emotions raw and real.
Do you ever have days where your emotions are very close to the surface? I have days like that.
I am thankful they don't occur too often.
Here I am again. I am presently reading a book on Princess Margaret of the United Kingdom. It's called, NINETY-NINE GLIMPSES OF PRINCESS MARGARET, by Craig Brown. She was a terrible woman. One would never think she was the sister of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, who is the most distinguished of women.
Margaret personified what are considered the worst of the traits of the wealthy: bratty, entitled, snobbish, and unkind.

I enjoy poetry but I am not a poetry lover. One thing I enjoy about writing it is that it allows me to tell a story in a short time. But of the already written and published poems, one of my favorites is by Percy Bysshe Shelley.
"Ozymandias"
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert... near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal these words appear:
'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings;
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.[4]
Can't you just see this scene? Hear the wind gently blowing?

How I Got Here
I am attempting once again to blog. I like reading OTHER people's blogs and they are quite lovely. I can hold my own in conversations and writing but I am a complete novice when it comes to graphics, buttons, html, and the like.
This is my cat, Gordy, and she is a Seal Point Himalayan. She's gorgeous but eats like there's no tomorrow.
